Wiktionary

Senses taken from Wiktionary are adapted from English Wiktionary (en.wiktionary.org), written by Wiktionary contributors and licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence. We selected Setswana entries, kept their senses and word origins as written, and linked plurals and verb forms to their dictionary word. The adapted data is licensed under the same licence, CC BY-SA 4.0, and you may reuse it on the same terms.

The Setswana Bible word pairs

Word pairs in entries marked Bible alignment were found by aligning the Setswana New Testament with the World English Bible. This is a derivative work.

The original work by Biblica, Inc. is available for free at www.biblica.com and open.bible. Copyright © 1993 Biblica, Inc. Licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0.

The word pairs are our adaptation; Biblica does not endorse them. They are licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0 as well.

Peace Corps lessons

The phrases come from the Peace Corps Botswana Setswana Language Lessons, a work of the United States government, which is not subject to copyright in the United States. The phrases are grouped by the lesson topics. The Peace Corps does not endorse this app.

J. Brown, Secwana Dictionary (1895)

Published in 1895 and in the public domain. Its headwords are shown in today's spelling; where Brown wrote a word differently (ñwana for ngwana), the entry says so, and searching for the old spelling finds the word.
